POWAY, Calif., May 2007 – Pacific Medical Buildings (PMB), a San Diego-based healthcare real estate developer, has completed the development of a new medical office building (MOB) in a very short time line on the campus of Pomerado Hospital.
The project had a number of challenges, including extensive entitlement work and a complex environment impact report. PMB fast-tracked the design, contracting and construction process to deliver the completed facility in just 365 days.
PMB also created a two-part condominium and financing structure that allows the hospital to acquire its outpatient service floors if and when the funding becomes available.
The Centre for Health Care, a multi-specialty medical group, is the 74,000 square foot anchor tenant. The first two floors house a variety of outpatient services operated by the hospital including full-service imaging, a diabetes clinic, a women’s center, wound care and an outpatient surgery center.
Pomerado Hospital is owned by Palomar Pomerado Health.
